The Eterna ruins are much like a giant fortress in which the school is stored, and while no one is quite sure what the Eterna were all about, they have begun to affect the school in unexpected ways.
Because of this quirk and Anima Eterna’s resilience toward the attacks of the Death Eaters, the Italian academy has begun to make a real names for itself, though not all of its publicity is positive. People are known to die on the school premises, and after the Heirs launched a full fledged attack during the 2018 Graduation Party, people would have to suspect that it is a target to the dark forces.
Despite the danger, Anima Eterna has been a life changing place for many of its students and staff, good or bad. Even as risks increase, that passion gives it occupants the motivation to fight back.
After the Death Eater attack on the school in 2019, this passion to fight back only increased in many of the inhabitants. Headmistress Elisa Monelli revived her original vision for the school, which was for it to be a place where the young could be taught to battle the new uprising of dark forces. Backed by a mysterious prophecy supposedly delivered to her by the ancient Eterna, she changed Anima Eterna's focus into a school of war, destined to make a stand against the Death Eaters once and for all.
There was a mixed reaction. Many chose to return home or go elsewhere for schooling after this announcement was made, but even more still chose to stay. Not all of the faithful believe in the prophecy, but believers and sceptics alike are united by their desire to make a stand.
In an age quickly descending into the darkness of war, AE has become a small beacon of light. The fate of the students and staff of the school is unclear, but whatever it is, they are standing bravely in the face of the forces that have brought down so many before them.
Being a Student

There is no particular uniform in Anima Eterna, and students are permitted to wear whatever they want on the premises (within reason.) There is a large variety of classes to be taken, some from muggle origins, though most of them wizardly.
There are three houses: Estremo, Spirito, and Leale. The students are sorted in the Sorting Portal, a room deep within the school that supposedly operated through contact with the spirits of the Eterna. After stepping onto the transport pad they are teleported there for about ten second, during which lights will appear in accordance to the house they fit in.
Each house has its own common room and dorms, but it is not uncommon for students to sneak into common rooms that are not their own. If there are any rules against such things, they are not heavily enforced.
Students are allowed to leave the school after class hours, and can go to various place, such as Magio Centro, a quaint wizarding town nearby the school, or Terra Commune, a muggle community.
Also close by is a bustling city called Vitana, which while technically filled with muggles is well known for its large amount of magical activity. A city of duality, it manages to be both a suburbian paradise and a pit of scum and villiany, so all kinds can be found there. Many that have left the school take up residence in Vitana, as it is so close by and well suited to a variety of people.
After Elisa Monelli changed the focus of the school, the students were reorganized into two sections: the regular students and the student militia. The students are years one to three, who are taught regular classes and the basics as they would be in any school. Year four to eight, however, form the student militia, which is taught magic with practical application to war time. They are being trained to fight and to defend both the school and themselves.
Along with the student militia is the adult militia, comprised of graduates and other witches and wizards that wished to come to the school and defend it. Many of them hold other jobs while doing this, but largely their purpose in the school is to help train the students and remain on guard for defensive purposes.
The Houses

Estremo House
Estremo is the house of the brave and the courageous leaders. Students here are daring and willing to do anything, no matter what. They can be a bit reckless at times, and are the students most likely to need medical attention, especially since they have a love for rough sports.
Head-strong and stubborn, it's very hard to talk an Estremo out of anything, once they've set their minds to it. They can be a bit impulsive at times, relying on their gut instinct rather than facts, figures, and a good thought process. Hell, who needs logic anyway?
The Estremos are represented by the colors scarlet and gold, as well as the dragon. The dragon is an obvious choice, as they are fierce and uncontrollable, and fire reflects the inner soul of Estremos.
Spirito House
Ah... Spiritos. More than anything else, Spiritos are known for their logic and their well-thought out plans of action. Most of them think before they speak or do, unlike Estremos. Top of their class, they are very focused academically, and excel in class.
Very creative, Spiritos are natural problem-solvers. Quick of mind and tongue, they have a tendency to be a bit sarcastic at times. But, then again, everyone has their downfalls, right? And sometimes, the sarcasm is just down-right funny!
Blue and silver are the colors of Spirito, and they are represented by wolf.
Leale House
Perhaps filled to the brim with the friendliest people you'll ever meet, Leales get along with everyone. They shy away from arguments, generally, because conflict just isn't good. They are non-violent, generally, and usually play the role of mediator between friends.
Though, like everyone else, Leales have their downfalls. Often taken advantage of because of their sweet dispositions and kindness, Leales can also be quite naive. They can often be poor judges of character, since they see the good in everyone.
The phoenix is the creature that represents the house of forest green and white. Reborn from the ashes, the phoenix symbolizes their eternal optimism towards every aspect of life.
