So, you've stumbled upon AE for the first time, and now you want to join in on the magical party that is our lives. Great! We'll be glad to have you. However, since our site had been running for a couple years now, we realize that joining can sometimes be a bit intimidating.

Don't let it be! We're really very friendly people, and absolutely love newbies and will do our very best to get involved. But to make your first look around the site easier, we've put together this page to explain the basics of the site for your convenience. To start, we will go with a breakdown of the information you see to your left.

[THE|ESSENTIALS]: IC knowledge about the site that will be important when applying for the first time. The most basic information about the setting so you can know the kind of world your character will be living in without reading pages and pages of junk.
The Plot: The rundown of the story so far.
The Factions: In AE, there are several groups, organizations, or 'factions' that your character could potentially be loyal to. All of them greatly effect the wizarding world. There are described here in a nutshell.
A Brief History: The compressed version of the Timeline. Point by point information on what happened and when.
The School: The important details of AE as a school, so new students will have an idea of what they are applying for.
Abilities: Descriptions of all the different special character abilities that can be had at AE, from Elementals to Seers.
The Facts: Everything the [THE|ESSENTIALS] section summarized in the most mind bogglingly simplistic way imaginable.

[EXTRA|READING]: Extended information on AE. None of this is required when joining the site, but it is the extensive detail and information written out for people who like/need such things. This roleplay has a very deep environment, and this section gives people who wish to embrace it fully the chance to.
Plot Threads: A listing of important or noteworthy threads that have popped up during roleplay. Interesting reads for those that are curious.
AE Universe: All the detail you could hope for on the setting of Anima Eterna. Full details on the different factions and things like the Eterna and current Ministry of Magic.
Timeline: A account of important event than have happened before and after roleplay began. Good for getting an idea of the things we do.
Info Threads: Threads that are compilations of extra information on the characters of AE. Mostly superfluous but interesting information.
Old Forum: The old, Proboards forum we used before Kitty bought a domain and started using SMF. Kept around for the memories and old roleplays but no longer posted in.
